I decided that I needed to make another one for myself and don't know *why* I didn't think about making a Mickey Mouse one in the first place!
This will definitely be the only one I make exactly like this because I can't remember where I got the black Mickey paper, lol. I *think* I got it at one of the stores during last fall's Indy crop but I'm not sure. All I know is that I really liked it and, even though I didn't have a "use" for it, I bought it anyway...then hung it on the bulletin board in my scrap room till I decided to make this purse.
So, Stephanie, think your mom will be jealous? I kept thinking of her the whole time I was making this one.
Almost done with the HUGE one that was ordered. All I need to do is trim the ribbons and I can deliver it tomorrow. And, at some point, I guess I should make some cards to hand out to people. We stopped in a grocery store on our way home tonight and I was wishing I had something to hand her since she seemed so interested in the purse. (And no time to write it down for her because she had another customer behind me.)

Just for fun...
I wanted to see how the DCWV Glitter Stack papers would work for these. And I decided to try a different size...this one is 6x8 instead of 8x8. It's a little closer to the size I would actually carry and maybe some of the younger girls would want.
Oh, and a different handle too since I figured the smaller purse needed a smaller handle. This one came with BIG (ugly!) wooden beads on it but I stripped those off and just redid it with pearly grey & black beads. also, I thought just the black and grey/silver ribbon was getting kind of drab so I took it apart again and added some blue. What do you think?

All done...
and she said I picked the perfect colors for the Colts. (C'mon, you Indy gals, let's here from you if I got the right ones!)
I absolutely LOVED the Moonstruck B&T papers from CTMH for this purse! Ok, I'm partial to this shade of blue anyway but that's beside the point, lol.
While I was waiting to get the purse handles from Mom yesterday, I decided to try making a "game" purse. I picked up this Chutes & Ladders game when my neighbor was having a yard sale last Friday. Actually, I was over there Thursday morning and one gal said she *might* have some games at home to bring over later. This one was basically just the board in the box but that was all I really wanted anyway.
You can't really see it in the pic but "Chutes & La" are across the right of the top then "dders" is on the right side. The ribbons get in the way but the whole title *is* there.

Another purse
here ya go, Stephanie! I got it finished up yesterday afternoon and almost forgot to take pics for you. I'll be taking this up to the tanning salon/laundromat owner pretty soon.
Now I'm off to post some papers and get help figuring out which is closest to "Colts blue" so I can make another one that was ordered. (Well, actually I won't be staring the purse today because I get to go meet Mandi, TY and Olivia for a picnic at the park halfway between us.)

It's done!!
I finally got my new purse done. Too cool using scrapbook supplies to make a REAL purse! Only a couple things I would change about it: I'd make the small sides a little bit bigger (although it's big enough right now for me) and I would put paper on the inside too...or at least remember to put the white side of the mat board on the inside of the purse, lol.
As soon as I finished it, I ran across the alley to show my new hairdresser's mom. When we were talking last week, she said she wanted to see it since she collects purses. Well, she looked it over and suggested lace in place of the ribbon....then asked how much I would charge to make her one! And I'd only been hoping to get enough people interested in doing a workshop to make their own.
So, what do you think of it?
Oh, and I found the purse handles at Hobby Lobby but they didn't have any colors to match the papers I wanted to use. After trying and trying to find some other CTMH papers to use to match the handles, I decided to see if the ends of the handles would come off. So, a quick trip to Walmart for new beads and I had a pretty pink handle to match the papers I really wanted to use.

Busy, busy
I haven't forgotten about this...just got busy and didn't want to bore you.
Grocery shopping & errands lead to working in the yard (because of the errands) over the week-end. Then I realized that I hadn't bought laminating sheets so I could work on my purse so that got pushed aside.
Yesterday I finally got all the holes punched on the purse and it's just waiting for me to pick up the laminating sheets when I go to town today. Oh, and some beads to match my paper! I found out the end of the purse handles screw off so I can swap out the red or black beads (one set of handles in each color) so I can make it match my pink & brown papers!!
I got a wild hair yesterday and decided to start cleaning up my scrap room. A *bunch* of baskets that were under my table went out in the trash...with the better ones going in a bag to take to mom on Friday. (I should have known better than to say what I was doing while on the phone with her, lol.) And I actually found my table top again!! It was so bad that I couldn't even work on an 8x8 project without laying part of it on top of other stuff. Just a few things left to put away on the table then find somewhere to put paper that's in one bag. Not sure where to put the papers I got in a RAK or my Glitter Stacks... Guess I could tear them apart and sort them by colors?
So today is finishing up the grocery shopping & picking up a couple things for DH so they can straighten the garage up. Have to pick up DD this afternoon from her Dad's. Back home to tan then see what DH has in mind for this evening. Once he goes to bed, I'm off to my scrap room to either do some more organizing or start putting my purse together. Hopefully I will have something to post here soon!
